We’re back again with another dessert for you to try out! For those that didn’t get their sweet fix with the cookies (or maybe you don’t care for chocolate chip cookies), these brownies will not disappoint!
What we love best about these brownies is how fudgy and cakey they are!
If you relate to the nostalgia of fudge brownie sundaes, you’re going to love how these turn out.
While we’re big fans of this recipe, we don’t like baking too much at one time for ourselves. It’s just the two of us and usually we have other snacks and treats to munch on.
That said, the ingredients here will yield 6 brownies. If you want to make a dozen or a full pan, just double the ingredients!
A few tips to keep in mind:
– Melt the butter in the microwave. Some recipes call for butter to be melted on the stove and mixed with chocolate bars. Since we’re using cocoa powder, there’s no need to turn on the stove or use extra dishes!
– Use a cupcake tray and liners. This makes this simple recipe even better by removing the step of cutting brownies or storing a full pan to eat later.
Prep time: 10 minutes
Total bake time: 20-25 minutes
Yield: 6 brownies
¼ cup butter, melted
½ cup white sugar
½ tsp vanilla extract
⅙ cup unsweetened cocoa powder
¼ cup all purpose flour
⅛ tsp salt
⅛ tsp baking powder
Preheat the oven to 350℉.
In a bowl, mix together butter and sugar until they are completely mixed in.
Add vanilla extract and egg. Ensure the mixture is cool before adding the egg.
Mix in flour, cocoa powder, salt and baking powder. This recipe can be adjusted by adding your favorite nuts or candies (like M&Ms)!
Spoon the batter into a cupcake tray with liners. You can also use a normal baking pan for this step.
Bake for 20-25 minutes.
Remove from the oven and let them cool for 5-10 minutes. Try these delicious brownies with your favorite ice cream on top!
